Our Story


High Hurlands Homes is a highly respected company with 50 years experience supporting young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities in a twenty two bed Nursing Home. The company now operates as a Partnership with Diana and Fizz Carter & Alicia Hackshall.
The Nursing Home was started in 1971 by Diana and John Carter in their family home and has been extended and improved over the years to provide excellent accommodation and facilities for up to 22 young adults.

The home is located on an 80 acre farm in Liphook, North Hampshire. The setting is stunning, with views to the South Downs.

The specialised care offered is of the highest quality, led by a multidisciplinary team of dedicated managers, nurses and support workers.

The Care Awards ceremony was held at the Winchester Guildhall, and was hosted by Fred Dinenage.

On receiving the award, Diana said, "I am overwhelmed at receiving this award and would like to thank you all so much, it is an acknowledgement of all that has been happening over the years at High Hurlands."

Full Time Support Worker - Liphook, Hampshire, UK

Full time support worker for High Hurlands Homes.
07:30 - 19:30 on a shift pattern with every other weekend off.

Must be well motivated and able to use your initiative working with very vulnerable young adults.
Helping the service users with all aspects of their personal care and also assisting them with activities on and off site. Cookery, gardening, music, art, trips out etc.

Starting rate £19,500 per year, 168 hours every 4 weeks.

Single person accommodation available @ £80 per week plus use of a car to get to work.
Essential
  • Flexibility. This is a shift based role that can include working on weekends and bank holidays so flexibility is essential.
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help people
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • The ability to work to robust, clear guide lines
Desirable
  • Prior experience in health and social care is desirable but not essential. We can and will provide full training
  • A driver with their own vehicle would be highly advantageous, but not essential.

Domestic Assistant

Part time domestic assistant required to join our small, friendly team!
09.30 - 14.00 Monday to Friday, hours negotiable.
The role will involve cleaning/laundry duties.
Full training will be given.

Registered nurse - Clinical lead & Training

Clinical Lead & Training Nurse Manager  - Full time
09.30 - 17.30 Monday to Friday. Shift cover when required.

You will be a Registered Nurse (RN/RNLD/RMN) with current NMC registration and a mentoring/supervision qualification.

Experience in supporting residents with complex health and physical needs is important, as is a successful track record of managing investigations and clinical risk assessments.

You will be compassionate, flexible and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment.

Up to date with current evidence-based practice and have a working knowledge of CQC Standards and Regulations and will work using your initiative making effective decisions to improve care quality.
Essential
