Welcome to High Hurlands

Nursing & Residential Homes for people with Severe Learning Disabilities based in Liphook, Hampshire

A highly respected family business with nearly 50 years experience in the care industry

Our Story

High Hurlands Homes is a highly respected company with nearly 50 years experience supporting young adults with Severe Learning Disabilities in a twenty two bed Nursing Home and five, three bed Residential Homes.  The company now operates as a Partnership with Diana and Fizz Carter & Alicia Hackshall.
The Nursing Home was started in 1971 by Diana and John Carter in their family home and has been extended and improved over the years to provide excellent accommodation and facilities for up to 22 young adults.

The five Residential Homes opened in 1982 offering a small family environment for clients without the need for nursing support.

In the Spring of 2018 the Partners employed Julie East as the company's General Nurse Manager.  Julie has extensive experience as a Nurse Manager in a variety of different companies over the past 30 years.  Julie's passion is Learning Disabilities, so we are delighted to hand over the day to day running of our company to such a skilled, competent and well regarded manager.

The homes are all located on an 80 acre farm in Liphook, North Hampshire.  The setting is stunning, with views to the South Downs.
The specialised care offered is of the highest quality, led by a multidisciplinary team of dedicated managers, nurses and support workers.
