The five small Residential Homes are managed by Kaye Charman, who has worked at High Hurlands for 25 years. Each cottage has two staff working during the day and one at night. All of the Support Workers and employed and trained by High Hurlands.
The residents are encouraged to maintain as much independence as possible, helping with their own personal care and daily living skills within the home. They are involved in a busy day service programme each day, including swimming, cookery, pottery, trampolining, art and music. They also go on regular trips out to the theatre, cinema, restaurants, concerts, bowling & ice- skating.
Each year the residents enjoy a holiday away from High Hurlands with their support workers.
