As an RNLD, I have been involved in the management of residential care & nursing services since 1999. During my first Registered Manager post in 2000, I developed my knowledge base of the implications relating to the management of larger nursing homes, which included the management of a Multi-Disciplinary Team consisting of staff from OT, Physiotherapy and Nursing backgrounds.

In 2003 I joined the High Hurlands management team and was responsible for carrying out a revision of the training, development and assessment programmes for inductees, and existing staff, in line with relevant guidelines relating to the training of staff in this environment (TOPPS, JEC etc.). This revision, resulted in the service achieving a '4' during CSCI inspection for training and development of staff.

In 2008, I worked elsewhere as Operations Manager, supporting 5 registered managers in the daily running of services they were responsible for.

In 2009 I returned to High Hurlands as Deputy Head of Care and was promoted to Registered Manager and registered by CQC in 2012, currently working as Registered Manager/Clinical Lead.
